San Francisco to Mountain View

I was up and out early as I knew I had a lot to accomplish at home over the next two days. While I was thrilled to arrive home, I hardly had a moment to savor the experience as I also walked straight into all of the problems that had accumulated while I was away.

I knew my home network had died (due to a 10 year old Apple airport router). Of course practically everything in the house and the yard is hooked up to the network these days. My first order of business was to figure out a temporary work-around that will allow me to limp through the next couple of days until I can figure out a permanent solution after I return. I did waste some time with tech support to verify that it was well and truly dead.

I also had to unpack and sort through all of the replacement items I had ordered so that I would have sufficient summer clothing for Hawaii. And of course I did several loads of laundry.

There were also various other assorted issues that I won’t bore you with in this forum. In some sense it would have been better to avoid coming home before my last week, but it would have been impractical. At the very least I needed to put Lucy II in my own garage. It was just a steeper re-introduction into life as I used to know it than I might have wished for. Oh well - repeat after me - first world problems.

I have a full day tomorrow to re-organize and pack, and to recalibrate my brain back to travel mode for my last week.
