Munising to Fort Wayne

This morning I made the long drive back down from the UP, then crossed the Southern border of Michigan into Indiana. It was my first visit to MI, but I remembered that I have been to IN previously for work. It was a quick turn around and I saw nothing of the State. So I am looking forward to exploring it this week.

While I have left the hazy skies from the Canada wildfires behind, unfortunately I have run into the heat wave that is now sitting over the midwest. It’s going to be a hot week.

The 8 hour drive left no time to stop for photos. And it was long enough that I just took the main roads and freeways the whole way. The Courtyard in downtown Fort Wayne is very pleasant and the staff is great. Natasha, who checked me in, had a package waiting for me. That gets high marks, especially after my experience in Dearborn.

Tomorrow, I’ll meet my friend V’s dad for breakfast (she grew up here) and then explore some destinations in and around Fort Wayne.
