We purposefully got a late start this morning as we knew that high tide was not expected until about midday. We wanted to find a different spot than yesterday, so we drove a bit north. We ended up at Fogarty beach which, because it required parking across the street and walking under an overpass, was remarkably deserted. Although a few more families showed up later in the afternoon, it never got crowded. We were so entranced with the waves that we had to tear ourselves away at 2:30 PM to go get some lunch.
We ended up at Chinook Winds restaurant, which had the advantage of facing the ocean. We continued to enjoy the waves along with our late lunch.
Tomorrow we will take the scenic route back to Grant’s Pass where I will will spend my last two nights in Oregon with K.
