This morning I continued west into Idaho. Hailey is basically Sun Valley. I drove through a light rain the entire time, which I was not expecting. I don’t remember seeing rain anywhere in the forecast. And think about this for a moment - I drove from Jackson, WY to Sun Valley, ID in late November - and I got rain, not snow. What’s wrong with this picture?
I’m staying at a new Fairfield Inn that recently opened in this area. It feels a bit more spartan than older Fairfields, but it does have the requisite outdoor hot tub, so no complaints.
Tomorrow I will drive back out to the Craters of the Moon National Monument that I passed on the way in. At the moment, sun is predicted. Stay tuned.
