Gardiner (Yellowstone NP - Mammoth Hot Springs 2)

Today I rinsed and repeated yesterday’s route twice, in the morning and in the afternoon. I wanted to revisit Mound Spring in the Travertine Terraces of Mammoth Hot Springs and see what more I could do with it. The lighting was a bit different - today was gloomy and windy. As well, after reviewing yesterday’s images I had some different ideas about how I wanted to shoot it. I also wanted another chance with the elk and Pronghorn. I was finally able to get them doing something other than eating with their butts toward the road.

Having exhausted this area, at least for this visit, I will drive further into the Lamar Valley tomorrow and look for more wildlife and scenery.
