Chicago to California

I arose at O’Dark thirty this morning to drive to the airport and catch a flight to CA to attend the wedding of my friends G&T. I might not have attempted this from the East Coast, but I was able to get inexpensive and convenient flights from Chicago. As mentioned yesterday, I’m purposely avoiding going home as that would feel like an interruption of my trip. Instead, I’m staying at an inexpensive hotel near the airport.

I have an equally sleep-busting flight tomorrow morning which will get me back to Chicago early afternoon. I’ll collect my car and drive a couple of hours North to Milwaukee.

Today’s travel was blessedly uneventful. Here’s hoping for a similar experience tomorrow.
