Cedar Rapids to Des Moines

This morning I drove West to Des Moines. I decided it was time for a nature break, so headed out to Walnut Woods , an urban state park 20 minutes from my hotel. I was happy to find some cooperative woodpeckers, a ‘shroom covered log and some nice reflections. Not bad for an hour’s work.

I wanted to conserve my energy a bit as tomorrow the plan is to tour the Bridges of Madison County. We’ll see how my images compare to Clint’s.
